Martin’s Lane reopened in the last weekend of November, a month after the Royal Clarence Fire.
The store has received best wishes from the public after the fire. “When we returned we had a couple of lovely phone messages left from our regular customers,” Candice said.
East Devon District Council’s Exmouth Regeneration Chairman Councillor Philip Skinner has reiterated his commitment to rejuvenate the town’s seafront at a public meeting called to discuss the future of the area.

West Exe’s current student of the year is aiming high during her last year at secondary school.
Camille Murray won the school’s 2016 student of the year award, also gaining a certificate for a hundred percent attendance throughout her time at West Exe.
The award has given Camille, 15, the inspiration to excel in everything she does. The student is keen to enrol on Exeter College’s Flybe course next September.

At around 9.20pm on Monday 5 December 2016 a man armed with a knife, estimated to be around 10” in length, entered the Spar shop on Magdalen Road in Exeter, where he threatened staff and took cash from the till.
The man then left the shop and ran along Magdalen Road, believed to be in the direction of the Mount Radford pub.
There were three members of staff in the shop at the time. All are safe and no-one was injured. No customers were in the store at the actual time of the incident.

Devon County Council has announced the list of roads which will be repaired using the £1.95 million of capital funding allocated by Government within this financial year’s Pothole Action Fund.
More than 200 repair schemes will be undertaken on approximately 75 miles of road across the county using the Pothole Action Fund which the County Council received from Government earlier this year.
