Gareth Steenson insists he and his Exeter Chiefs team-mates will pick themselves up despite suffering yet more late heartache during Sunday’s Aviva Premiership clash with rivals Bath.
Semesa Rokoduguni’s converted try – seven minutes into added on time – saw the Chiefs undone right at the death, eventually going down 13-10 in front of a capacity crowd at Sandy Park.
Not for the first time this season, Rob Baxter’s side were again left to wallow in yet another narrow reverse that has left them seventh in the current Premiership standings.
A new space at Sandy Park is now available to celebrate special occasions for up to 200 guests.
The Wigwam may be better known for its match-day disco, but this large and light-filled marquee in Sandy Park’s attractive grounds is now available to hire for a range of events. The spacious room features a bar, private entrance and large outside area and is an ideal blank canvas for wedding receptions and other events. The Wigwam Marquee adds to Sandy Park’s already substantial wedding and events offering. The versatile venue has a civil ceremony licence and a range of suites to suit...

Despite the inconvenience, the Service has been overwhelmed by messages of support, offers of assistance and complimentary food and drink to help sustain the large number of firefighters who have been working around the clock to bring the fire...
The Royal British Legion Poppy Day is on 13th November.
We all know how much and how many depend on The Royal British Legion and a successful Poppy Day Appeal. The need for help is still as great as ever and we need to show our support for all members of the Armed Forces, retired members and their families.
Devon has always given generously. I am confident this year we will all “wear our Poppy with pride” – and with thankfulness.
Councillor Andrew Moulding Chairman of Devon County Council

If you’re a sucker for character, then you’ve probably considered buying an old house. Period features make excellent selling points, and things as simple as open fires or exposed wooden beams can really add to property value. Here’s our advice on what you need to know when purchasing an older property.
Check its condition
Old houses are more likely to be rough around the edges than more modern properties. There might be structural damage, asbestos, or any number of other problems which could cause a headache later. Be sure to check for rodents too – they have a habit of...
The taps have been turned on at an exciting rainwater collection project, managed by an engineering graduate from Exeter University, in the area of Sainte Luce in South East Madagascar.
The project, named Project Tatirano (meaning to ‘collect rainwater in Malagasy), has been running a pilot scheme for the last 12 months at a local school in Sainte Luce, aiming to provide clean drinking water for both the children at the school and those villagers who live nearby.
Harry Chaplin who studied Civil and Environmental Engineering at Exeter, was the brains behind the project....
