Stylish Twiggy Swag Masterclass

Join our second of Sarah Pepper's seasonal masterclasses. We'll each be making a garland base of about 1 meter using twigs and then a natural decoration of lovely hardy foliages, ribbon, cones, and dried botanicals. It’s a great decoration to hang outside above the front door instead of a wreath, on gates or indoors above a fireplace.

Class fee of £25, includes a glass of prosecco or mulled wine on arrival, all materials, use of tools, coffee and mince pies.

You'll get to make a refreshing lemon body scrub, a fantastic chocolate and orange body scrub and colourful fizzy bath bombs. We'll be packaging your projects in pretty jars, with fabric, ribbons, buttons and home made labels.

Cotley Matford Farm Launch Day

Enjoy appearances by Cotley Farm’s reindeer, carol singers and Elsa from Frozen. Elsa will be judging the Exeter bauble decorating competition, and children will get the chance to hang their bauble from one of our locally grown trees.

Green light for Dawlish Countryside Park

A new countryside park for the local community has been given the go-ahead today on land between Exeter Road and Eastdon Woods north of Shutterton Lane in Dawlish.

Proposed by Councillor Price and seconded by Councillor Mayne, Teignbridge Planning Committee unanimously approved the change of use planning application for the new countryside park which will provide a natural recreational area for local people to enjoy now and into the future.

FORMER Exeter Chiefs rugby star turned farmer, Rich Baxter joined a special sausage-making and butchery workshop at a city butchers last week.

Customers and suppliers were invited to the event, which was held at Burrow Farm’s St Thomas butchers shop, Courtney’s.

The event was held to introduce customers to Burrow Farm’s two new Master Butchers, and to give customers a chance to have a go at making their own sausages – something that Burrow Farm’s Courtney’s shop is famous for.

Value of tourism in Teignbridge increases to £262m

New figures released by Visit South Devon reveal that the value of tourism to Teignbridge is rising. In 2015 alone, tourism contributed £9.8 million more to the local economy than it did in 2014, bringing the total amount brought in to Teignbridge by tourism to £262 million.

The figures come from an annual report provided to Visit South Devon and the Devon Tourism Partnership, which analyses trends in tourism year-on-year.
