Accountants Bishop Fleming have been ranked 42nd in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2017, as well as being awarded a coveted Two Star status accreditation from the ‘Best Companies' organisation.

The firm which has offices in Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Truro, and Worcester, has 29 partners and 330 staff and this was the second time that the firm had entered the awards being ranked 49th in 2016.

On Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th February 2017, officers from the Alliance Road Policing Team (RPT) of Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police took part in an intensive roads policing operation, one of a series dubbed Allied Wolf.

A popular coffee club is to celebrate its sixth anniversary with the King of Rock and Roll, thanks to Tesco Extra Exeter Vale. Countess Wear Coffee Club, based at the 100 Club, Wear Barton Road, Exeter, has become a key part of the local community. Exeter Junior School's U11A football team was delighted to welcome Exeter City Football Club Football in the Community Coach Pete Eveleigh.

The Premier League Kicks Coordinator gave a masterclass to the Year 6 pupils as preparation for the Regional Kids' Cup Football Finals which take place on Monday 27 February at Adams Park, the home of Wycombe Wanderers FC.

The launch event for the Big Devon March went off with a blast as 28 staff from across Devon came together to pledge their support to get their workplaces walking more during March.

Devon’s Community Composting groups set for reprieve

Measures aimed at softening the impact of proposed changes to the amount the authority pays community groups to compost, will be recommended to Devon County Council’s Cabinet.

A consultation held last year included proposals to reduce the discretionary community composting credit rate, the amount per tonne the authority pays to local community groups, from £58 to £25.
