Exeter entrepreneur invited to speak at European PA Summit

FOUNDER of Exeter PA Network, Kim Glover, has appeared at a prestigious international summit in Munich, where she spoke about the strategic role of personal assistants.

Kim was a speaker at the Benelux and DACH Executive Summit which took place over two days in Munich this month. The event, which is organised by the Vonlanthan Group, was attended by senior assistants from more than 20 different countries, representing most of Europe, Russia, Saudi Arabia, America and the UK.

SWASFT raise over £20,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer

The staff from the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has been supporting CLIC Sargent since 2008 raising £23,927.52 for young lives vs cancer through the Pennies from Heaven Scheme.

Over 4000 members of staff from the trust took part in the Pennies from Heaven Scheme, which meant that their wages were rounded down to the nearest pound with the pennies being donated to CLIC Sargent. CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading provider of support for young cancer patients under the age of 25, and their families.

“Inspirational” activity leader wins community award for free exercise group

A community-minded sports officer at the University of Exeter has won an award for setting up a free fitness session in a city park.

Paul Mouland, who works in the Sports department at the University, won a DevonLive Community Honours award after setting up Freemoovement in Barton Fields Park, St Thomas in May in his own time. The first inaugural awards celebrate inspirational people who have made their communities better places.

The South West Falcon from Stagecoach will be running throughout the Christmas holiday period, excluding Christmas Day, making it the ideal choice for a trip to the sales, a visit to the panto or a night out at New Year.

This month sees Boo to a Goose Theatre return to Devon Libraries for the second time this year, with their fantastically festive children’s show ‘Christmas Past and Present’.

Interactive and engaging from start to finish, the audience are greeted on arrival with the scent of gingerbread and spices, evoking the spirit of the season.

Such multi-sensory experiences are a trademark ingredient of Boo To A Goose Theatre’s shows, and were made all the merrier by the accompanying BSL signing from Catherine Hall.
