I did say about doing a similar event in Marsh Barton so after speaking to management at Toolstation, they've agreed that i can hold an event there on Mon 5th Nov from 8.30am onwards.
The reason i'm doing this is after the high number of reports of power tools being stolen around Exeter and the surrounding areas. A lot of these tools are high value and cost the owners a lot of money to replace.
Over 700 people have helped continue the tradition of hand-picking apples from the orchard at the National Trust’s Killerton estate, in time to be pressed at Killerton’s Apple Festival on 13 and 14 October. Thanks to hundreds of helping hands they were able to pick approximately 6 tonnes of apples, ready for the start of the cider and apple making season. On 4th October, the finalists from the Devon Schools Choir Competition, run by La La Choirs, took centre stage at Southernhay URC and competed for a chance to perform in Exeter Cathedral at the annual sell out concert, CLIC for Christmas. A project to get more women running for political office will be running workshops at the WOW Women of the World Festival, Exeter this weekend on 13th & 14th October at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
The Parliament Project is a non-partisan initiative that seeks to inspire, empower and encourage women to run for political office in the UK. It runs information and skills building events and offers peer networking to support women to get elected.
