A TIMELESS tale of love set in exotic ancient China is coming to Silverton this February half-term as Aladdin swops the 55B bus to ride in on his magic carpet!

The Mid Devon village will be transformed into enchanting old Peking fit for a beautiful princess, a dastardly uncle, a clever genie and love-struck Aladdin in this family-favourite pantomime – the first to be staged in the village for almost 30 years!

Staged by the Silverton Luvvies, this modern take on a time-less classic promises laughs, love, intrigue and, er, two idiotic policemen!

Wonder Fields, the biggest and best party in Devon has announced the first wave of their jam-packed line-up of live music, with their fifth festival taking place from 12 – 14th July 2019 within the beautiful grounds of Great Fulford.

The Oscars of the swimming pool and hot tub world took place on Tuesday 29th January, at the prestigious Ericsson Exhibition Hall within Ricoh Arena, Coventry. The night saw Exeter based, family run since 1969 company, H2O, take home no less than 6 awards; including 4 gold awards and the incredible Dick Millward Trophy for Swimming Pool Contractor Of The Year.

Free Winter Safety Boxes still available

Following last week’s snowfall in parts of the county, the Travel Devon team is reminding workplaces in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Barnstaple that a limited number of FREE "Winter Safety Boxes" are still available.

Businesses in these communities have until Thursday 28 February to apply for a Winter Safety Box, which is worth £100 and contains essential equipment to help staff who walk and cycle during the winter months.

Three hundred youngsters from mainstream special educational needs departments and Special Schools will be taking part in the Devon ability games in Barnstaple this week. The event is being staged at the Tarka Tennis Centre on Wednesday 6th February.
