Exeter to host Bank of England Citizens’ Panel

Exeter is to host a new forum for the public to air their views directly to policy makers at the Bank of England.

The Citizens’ Panel will offer people a chance to tell the Bank what they think about issues such as jobs, pay, housing and the cost of living.

The panels are being established following the publication of a report by the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce which called on the Bank to create new panels across the UK to improve its understanding of the economy.

Teign Estuary Trail proposals to go before Cabinet

Proposals to progress with a planning application for the next section of the Teign Estuary Trail and a strategy to complete gaps in the route will go before Devon County Councillors next week (Wednesday 13 March). The County Council's Cabinet is being asked to approve the Teign Estuary Trail strategy to connect the route between Passage House Inn and Dawlish. A DEVON care provider says it is leading the way when it comes to providing a person-centred care approach for its service users with dementia (March 2019).

Dr Adolfo De Sanctis, 30, a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, is attending Parliament to present his physics research to a range of politicians and a panel of expert judges, as part of STEM for BRITAIN on Wednesday 13th March.
