Gidleigh Park has once again been named amongst the UK’s top 50 restaurants in The Waitrose Good Food Guide 2017.

Rising seven places in 2017, Gidleigh Park remains the only Devon restaurant to be included in the guide.

Executive Chef Michael Wignall commented, “We’re delighted to be named in The Waitrose Good Food Guide 2017, especially as this award combines not only the feedback of inspectors, but also of our guests.  I’m so proud of the team here at Gidleigh Park, whose individual talents and teamwork ensure that we continue to produce new and exciting dishes”.

Stephanie Hocking, CEO Andrew Brownsword Hotels added, “Congratulations to Michael and all the Gidleigh Park team for their inclusion in this prestigious guide in their first year working together.  The continued excellent feedback from our guests, both in person and through awards such as these, is great to hear and well deserved recognition of both their talent and hard work”.

For those who would like to enjoy Gidleigh Park’s restaurant for themselves, a three course seasonal lunch menu is offered each day at £50 per person, the seven course tasting menus are available daily for lunch (£75) or dinner (£118), with ten course tasting menus served every day for dinner and priced £138pp.

Announced on 25 August 2016, Gidleigh Park has risen from seven places from 40 in 2016 to 33 in 2017.   The Waitrose Good Food Guide brings together feedback from readers across the UK, with inspectors checking out as many recommendations as they can, to ensure the guide includes the very best on offer across the UK.
