Exeter Cathedral will be invaded by Saxons and Vikings on Saturday 12 July, with a re-enactment on the Cathedral Green.

Learn about their way of life, before heading into the Cathedral to see how some of them died and what they have left behind in terms of their physical remains and their cultural artefacts.

The Exeter book, a unique collection of Anglo Saxon poems and riddles, will be on display in the Cathedra as well as some human remains excavated from the Cathedral Green.

There will also be children activities on the Green throughout the display, including bow and arrow making and face painting.

The fun starts at 11am and goes on until 3.30pm.
