Open meeting for separating parents
The charity Families Need Fathers is holding an open meeting in Exeter next month for parents and carers to find out more about the changes to the family justice system brought about by the new Children and Families Act 2014.
The Act heralds the biggest change in family law for a quarter of a century and the meeting is an opportunity to find out how this will affect separating parents.
The meeting will be held at the Devon Hotel, Matford, Exeter at 7pm on Thursday 3 July.
Families Need Fathers Exeter chairman Paul Knight said: “We are delighted to be holding this meeting for parents especially to find out how this landmark Act will affect arrangements for their children post separation.
"We have top class speakers in Norman Hartnell, director at The Family Company, Exeter, and Peter Mitchell, head of service, CAFCASS South West, and we expect the evening to be highly informative and useful for everyone attending.”
