A new survey has found that the average Brit will spend £1000 on spur-of-the-moment purchases every year, with nearly 60% of them admitting to as many as five impulse purchases per week, a staggering 260 snap purchases a year.

Online shopping has increased the temptation for impulse buyers according to the survey, with the UK spending £200 more online than in-store on impulse buys. Millennials are amongst the biggest culprits, with a quarter of 22 – 25-year-olds admitting to having spent over £1000 on rash purchases.

Exeter Scouts and Guides will be “Riding along on the crest of a wave” again this Easter, as Exeter Gang Show returns to the Barnfield Theatre, Exeter from the 5th to the 8th April 2017.

Now in its 33rd year, the show will be packed full of popular songs, expert choreography and laugh out load sketches, and has everything to keep audience members of any age entertained.

The Court has ruled against a heterosexual couple seeking to enter into a Civil Partnership instead of a marriage. The results of a shocking investigation by The Donkey Sanctuary reveals mass-scale suffering of donkeys caught up in global trading of their skins to sustain the demand for ejiao, a traditional Chinese medicine that relies on gelatin from the hides.

The hedgehog has been voted the Favourite UK Mammal with a huge majority in the Royal Society of Biology’s public vote.

Housing and homelessness charity Shelter is appealing for help to fund its free helpline after seeing a surge in demand from the South West, with over 43,000 calls received in the past year alone.
