Classroom resources launched for LGBT+ History Month

The University of Exeter will mark LGBT+ History Month in the UK with a series of events and the launch of free classroom resources for secondary schools and museums that highlight the achievements of LGBT+ individuals working in maths and science.

The teaching resources were announced in November and are now free to access and download to mark LGBT+ History Month in February.

A group of charity-minded Exeter College students have been inundated with knitted clothing after a post asking for donations went viral on Facebook.

A tutor group of Health and Social Care students have been collecting various knitted items for distribution to neonatal units around the country to help keep babies that are premature or with additional needs to stay warm in the days after birth. Students from the University of Exeter have raised more than £136,000 for charity through a series of hair-raising challenges and events.

Hundreds of students from across the University have been taking part in a host of tasks to raise funds for the annual ‘Movember’ challenge – which raises money and awareness around men’s mental health and cancer.

Exeter College has today announced the launch of a new Student Covid Charter, created in collaboration with students, to ensure the continued safety of students, staff and the wider community.

Exeter College’s new Future Skills Centre has opened its doors for the first time, following a collaboration between Devon County Council and the Ofsted Outstanding College.
