Students from Exeter College got a glimpse into the legal professionwith a debate on social media and the law organised by young lawyers from a leading local firm. Organised by Exeter-based Stephens Scown LLP’s young marketing group, the debate centred on the use of social media in someone’s private life leading to disciplinary proceedings at work – a topic that has been the subject of a lot of media coverage recently. A team of Exeter students have reached the final four of an international competition, designed to showcase technological innovation.

The Computer Science undergraduates devised a ground-breaking home security system, which allows doors to be locked and unlocked via a normal mobile phone.
