Exeter Racecourse is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) for ELF Raceday, taking place on Friday 5th December 2025.

Through this collaboration, ELF and Exeter Racecourse will launch a special gifting programme aimed at bringing joy to children and families supported by the charity during the Festive season.

The Donkey Sanctuary’s 50th anniversary celebrations continues as its multi-award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden has been re-built back at the charity’s international headquarters in Sidmouth, Devon. Installation to celebrate the Apollo 11 moon landing

Exeter sound artist, Simon Belshaw, has created an ainstallation that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. It will be installed in St Thomas Library from Tuesday 16th July for a period of two weeks.

The piece uses Neil Armstrong's famous "That's one small step for man one giant lepa for mankind" speech that he made as he stepped onto the surface of the moon for the first time. The work is encased in a display box similar tothe type you woyuld find in a museum.

As the country swelters under the summer sun, vets at the world’s largest donkey hospital, have come up with a novel idea to help one of their donkeys cope with the bright sunshine as he recovers from temporarily losing his sight.

Striking new riverside sculptures to provide habitat for insects

Striking new wooden sculptures inspired by the insect world have started to land on the banks of the River Exe in Exeter.

The sculptures have been made from Cornish oak by local sculptor James Bond, who grew up close to the River Exe.
