Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes will be putting the kettle on at the new Minerva development in Exeter next week as they open their doors for The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The new development will be hosting a fundraising coffee morning on Friday September 27 from 10am to 5pm as the housebuilders bid to ensure that this year’s event is bigger and better than ever before.

Sales director Nicki Reid said the Macmillan Cancer Support event is a key date in the fundraising calendar and the five star housebuilders are delighted to be inviting people to join in with the fundraising efforts.

“Cancer touches so many people’s lives and the coffee morning is a great way for everyone to get involved in the fundraising effort,’’ said Nicki. “Last year more than £26 million was raised through the coffee mornings and we hope to be part of the effort to break that barrier this year.’’

She said the concept of being involved in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning has captured the imagination of everyone within Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. “Our sales teams are all keen to host events for visitors and those who have already moved into our developments.’’

Staff will be inviting donations for coffee and cake on the day at the Minerva development off Tithebarn Lane near Exeter Science Park.
