The authority will now aim to reach a 70% reduction by 2030. The remainder of the carbon footprint will be...

Flamingos tickled pink by revamped exhibit

Flamingos at the Oakland Zoo are at their flamboyant best thanks to scientists at the University of Exeter.

Keepers at the Oakland Zoo in California wanted to know more about the activity of their flamingos because they seemed quiet and didn’t appear to be venturing into their pool very often.

The zoo called in Exeter flamingo expert Dr Paul Rose, who – along with psychology student Luke Jones – analysed the flamingos’ behaviour and suggested changes to their enclosure.

Now the birds are strutting and swimming – and one has even built a nest, despite the lack of...

Security threats that require a locksmith are among many. The question more poses as, what happens if it is an emergency situation? emergencies happen daily, rather we want them to or not. It is simply something that happens. At this point your judgement will be one of the most important aspects of the situation. If a child is locked in a car or the house is on fire. These are instances that require your knowledge in solving the issue at hand. If a child is locked in a car, you would call 9-1-1, the same as if the house is on fire and uncontrolled. use your best judgement when it comes to...

Metal vs. Wood Caskets - What's to know before you choose one

Nobody can escape death (not yet, anyway), and it’s only a matter of time until we have to deal with death in our life. A funeral service, including the use of a casket, is one of the long-time traditions related to death.

Many choose to show their love and appreciation for the deceased by customizing the casket in a way that he/she would have liked it. Selecting the casket is instead a personal decision since the casket plays a vital role throughout the funeral service. The casket serves as the vessel for the deceased, and it can be an image reflecting the deceased's personality...
