Share to Buy Live is set to host its inaugural Homebuyers Day: Exeter on Saturday 7th February, marking a new chapter in the organisation’s events programme and bringing affordable homeownership advice directly to local communities.

M&S Spark Something Good for Exeter cancer charity

M&S colleagues and a team of local volunteers rolled up their sleeves to give the garden at FORCE Cancer Charity’s Support and Information Centre a thorough tidy-up.

Over the course of a week, M&S colleagues and customers joined forces as part of the special volunteering initiative that has had a big impact on 24 local charities.

Nine M&S stores from Plymouth to Exeter took part in Spark Something Good, which saw 300 volunteers give up 2,653 hours for free, in order to make a positive difference.

Robin Rea of Ottery St Mary's 'Rusty Pig' joined Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty in Southend to help raise awareness of the benefits of using blood as an ingredient in cooking.

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale highlighted the positive aspects of his side's play, despite losing 2-0 to Plymouth Argyle.

Former professional footballer turned campaigner Clarke Carlisle met experts who help to keep people in the South West safe and well at an event held to discuss how they can tackle male suicide and mental health problems.

There are just two weeks left to have your say on Devon County Council’s proposals for improvements to the A30 between Honiton and Devonshire Inn.

People are being reminded that the deadline for responses to the consultation is Friday 30 September.

Devon County Council is promoting an improvement to A30/A303 Honiton to Ilminster section of the corridor to London. As a first phase of improvement, the Council is proposing to identify a Preferred Route for 8km (5 miles) between Honiton and Devonshire Inn.

LHC team go the extra miles for charity

In a true test of team endurance, a group of cyclists from LHC Architecture + Urbanism have clocked up over 2,000 miles in order to raise more than £2,500 for Balloons bereavement charity.

The team of twenty-one tackled the Devon Coast to Coast cycling challenge on September 10th and 11th, climbing over 4,000 feet and each cycling 100 miles across the two days.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a violent assault on a 33-year-old man.

The incident took place at temporary traffic lights on Blundell’s Road, Tiverton, around 6pm on Wednesday 14 September 2016.

A lone man was believed to be assaulted with a hammer by five men as he sat in his van at traffic lights.

The five men, who are believed to have been known to the victim, then made off in a dark blue Rover towards Halberton.
