Taylor Wimpey will open its new development in the Countess Wear area of historic Exeter in the coming weeks. Following high demand after this month’s virtual pre-launch, Riverside Walk off Wear Barton Road will offer an on-site launch to buyers on 11th July.
Taylor Wimpey was the first UK homebuilder to stop construction on sites and close sales centres in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown restrictions. A phased return to construction has since restarted on a number of sites across England and Wales, with staff and subcontractors operating under a robust set of revised health and safety practices and protocols.
Riverside Walk will open its doors to customers on an appointment-only basis with strict social distancing requirements in place. A new set of guidelines for all sales offices and show homes has been developed alongside new safety measures which have been introduced to protect the health and safety of its customers and employees. These include the installation of Perspex screens and marker guides for social distancing. Show home viewings will be unaccompanied and only one family at a time will be able to view each home.
Melissa Langton, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey said: “Being able to launch new sites is a significant step for both staff and customers. I want to assure the public that we are not prepared to compromise on health and safety, which is why we will be launching our Riverside Walk development in line with the government’s social distancing measures. For anyone interested in purchasing a new home, I would recommend visiting our website and giving the sales team a call ahead of our launch on site to kickstart the process.”
Riverside Walk is located off Wear Barton Road, Exeter, Devon EX2 7EH. It is the third Taylor Wimpey development on sale in the Exeter area, following Mayfield Gardens in Monkerton and the new community of Cranbrook.
