Internationally acclaimed chef, Michael Caines joined Eagle One Homes Director, Chris Fayers to officially open the Spinnakers showhome complex on Saturday (12 April).

Developed by Eagle One Homes, Spinnakers is the newly completed waterside development of 14, two and three bedroom apartments on Exmouth Quay.

To celebrate the launch Michael cooked two signature dishes from his book “Michael Caines:  At Home” in one of the apartments contemporary kitchens in front of a crowd of visitors. He then moved into the living room to undertake a book signing.

Each of the Spinnakers apartments will have a signed copy of Michael’s book placed in the kitchen as a welcome to their new owners.

“Spinnakers apartments are unique in having such amazing views over the Exe estuary,” said Chris Fayers, Director Eagle One Homes. “They are light, spacious and contemporary. The location is great. Everything Exmouth has to offer is on the doorstep, a short boat ride takes you to the peace of the Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve and with Exeter only 20 minutes away high quality shopping and entertainment are within easy reach. “

The two bedroom apartment has an open plan kitchen diner linking to a lounge with balcony which has far reaching views to the sea, estuary and nature reserve. Both double bedrooms have sea and estuary views with the large master bedroom having an ensuite bathroom and the second bedroom featuring its own balcony.  This apartment is presented in shades of white with bright turquoise and blue accents in the furnishings and accessories reflecting the ever changing colours of the water outside the window.

The three bedroom apartment features a substantial lounge area with a corner balcony giving views across the Exe. This apartment is styled in highly fashionable tones of grey and cream with bold bright splashes of golden yellow and eye catching black features. It has a cream contemporary kitchen and dining area along with three double bedrooms. The master bedroom features an ensuite bathroom and there is a second bathroom.

The showhome complex was designed and furnished by Parkfield Interiors of Torquay. The majority of the fixtures and fittings were sourced locally with all the cushions, curtains and furniture coverings made bespoke. Exeter’s Intoto supplied the kitchens and bathrooms were created by Somerset firm Mayflower Kitchen and Bathrooms.

There are 14 apartments in total at Spinnakers but reflecting market demand ten have already been reserved or sold. The four remaining apartments are a mix of two or three bedroom homes.  All have panoramic views from their private balconies, benefit from secure parking and have lift access.

Spinnakers is the last but one of the apartment buildings to be constructed at Exmouth Quay.  The buildings’ exteriors are all finished in brightly painted wood creating an atmosphere suggestive of New England.

Over the last ten years Eagle One Homes have transformed Exmouth Quay from a run down docks to a vibrant community. The final piece in the jigsaw will be the Pierhead apartments which are due to start on site in the summer.

Bradleys and Jackson-Stops & Staff are the appointed sales agents for Spinnakers. The Sales Office for Spinnakers is open seven days a week from 10am-4pm.
