Aspect leads the way in competitive Passive House design

Exeter-based Aspect Windows is set to become the only windows solution company to offer its customers a Passive House Design service. The desire to build Passive Houses, ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling, is growing rapidly and becoming an essential skill for architects and consultants.

Aspect Windows is already leading the way in energy-efficiency in Devon and the South West, helping customers to safeguard the environment and cut their heating bills and as part of this new generation, Director of sales and special projects, Andrew Seller, will undertake training to become a consultant on the CarbonLite Passivhaus Designer course.

This course is written and taught by leaders in UK Passivhaus development and as such Aspect Windows will become the only, full solutions, window company, offering a consultant certified in Passive House design in Devon.

Talking about the course, Andrew said: “I can’t wait to get learning and have the opportunity to offer our customers and their architects knowledge and expertise in designing the window solution for their own energy-efficient Passive House in the most competitive way.

“The company is already firmly committed to energy-saving products, offering A-rated WER ‘Window Energy Rating’ windows in PVCu, Aluminium and very high performance composites, but this will be another string to our bow.”

Aspect Windows managing director, Steve Cooling, said: “We are excited about this new chapter for the company. With Andrew becoming a consultant certified in Passivhaus design, we will be adding to the extensive range of services already on offer at Aspect Windows.”

Aspect Windows is currently in the process of refurbishing its large showroom, located at Apple Lane, Exeter, adding more products, allowing architects, consultants and homeowners the opportunity to view a wide range of doors, bi-folding doors, windows and conservatories, as well as curtain walling.
