Taylor Wimpey Is a Home From Home For Nicky

When Nicky Patch bought her dream new home at Taylor Wimpey’s Sylvan Heights development in Exeter, she loved the experience so much she joined the homebuilder’s sales team.

Nicky is now enjoying a new lease of life working at Taylor Wimpey Exeter’s Cranbrook development, a new town that is set to become a vibrant community in East Devon.

She moved from an older property in Exeter, which she had lived in for 20-years, and bought a four bedroom townhouse at Sylvan Heights in January.

And by July, Nicky had joined the ranks at Taylor Wimpey Exeter as a sales executive.

Nicky was made redundant from her job in retail management on Christmas Eve last year during her home buying process. When she explained this to the sales executive at Sylvan Heights, she was encouraged to apply for a job with the leading homebuilder.

Nicky, 50, from Exeter, explained: “Everyone I met at Taylor Wimpey was so positive. I got in touch with them and it went from there. It has really given me a new lease of life. I am loving it. I never ever thought of going in this direction at all but I’m so glad that I have.

“The job is lovely. I enjoy meeting and greeting people. Every day is different and it’s really good fun.

“Had I not bought my house at Sylvan Heights, I probably wouldn’t be working for Taylor Wimpey now because I thought I would not have been able to do it. But now I am learning and know all about the whole process of home buying and moving. It’s great.”

Nicky is now celebrating her move into the home building industry with her first sale – the last home on the market at Sylvan Heights.

“I just sold the show home at Sylvan Heights. My first sale was the last house on the development so it is definitely one I will remember,” Nicky said.

Janine Copleston, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “We’re delighted that Nicky has joined our sales team at Cranbrook and that her positive home buying experience is what motivated her to do so.”

Nicky was drawn to Sylvan Heights because of the panoramic views the development offered due to its scenic setting.

Talking about her new home, Nicky added: “I liked the fact the development was intimate. It is beautifully laid out. We look out over the stunning area and big trees. I just fell in love with it straight away. I absolutely adore it there.

“Taylor Wimpey were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was straight forward. It was so easy.”

If you would like to speak to Nicky and the team, visit the development on London Road, where you will find a range of one to six bedroom homes as part of the new community of Cranbrook. Prices start from £117,995.

The new town of Cranbrook will blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. In addition to the new homes, Cranbrook will consist of a selection of local amenities including shops, three new schools, a community centre, and transport links including a brand new train station with direct links to Exeter’s city centre.
