Loganair’s new Exeter–Manchester route takes flight

Loganair, the UK’s leading regional airline, is celebrating the launch of its new Exeter–Manchester route, strengthening regional connectivity and offering customers seamless access to international travel via Manchester Airport.

The new service, which began yesterday [26 October], will operate frequently before transitioning to a daily schedule in March 2026.

Flybe now offering twice-weekly service from Exeter to Nice

After a four year absence, Exeter-based airline Flybe has started flying to Nice with a twice-weekly service from Exeter.

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, now offers a choice of Tuesday and Saturday departures with passengers flying on the comfortable 118-seat Embraer 195 jet aircraft.

National Trust volunteers make an unprecedented contribution on Exmoor

In the past year nearly 45,000 hours of volunteer time have been devoted to looking after National Trust owned property on Exmoor.

The latest figures for volunteering on just the National Trust properties inside the Exmoor National Park show that 748 volunteers contributed an astonishing 44,470 volunteer hours in the twelve month period to March 2013.

It is the first time that the volunteer data has been compiled in this way to include every NT property within the National Park boundary - Dunster Castle, West Exmoor, Exmoor Bunkhouse and the Holnicote Estate.

The Highways Agency is urging drivers to take extra care and obey speed limits at roadworks in Devon and Cornwall, to prevent deaths and injurie among both road users and road workers.

Exeter Airport Easter Getaway

Several thousand passengers are expected to fly from or into Exeter Airport over the Easter period, with outbound travellers on Thursday’s Thomson flight likely to be enjoying the warmer weather in Sharm el Sheikh with temperatures over 30 degrees.
