What is Level 7 aesthetics - and do you actually need it?

In recent years, the aesthetics industry has undergone a quiet transformation. How to help the brain see cancer - Psychology in the Pub

Exeter Hub: How to help the brain see cancer Speaker: Dr William Simpson (University of Plymouth) Breast cancer is detected by radiologists who view mammograms (X-ray images of the breasts). No matter how sophisticated the imaging equipment used to create the mammograms, a limiting factor in cancer detection is the visual system of the radiologist. Therefore, if we can present mammogram images to the radiologist in a way tailored to the capabilities of the visual system, we can improve cancer detection. Visual perception is at the very core of psychology, and a great deal is known about it...

My journey from insomnia to sleep

Before the course started

This evening I start my first session of insomnia treatment with Stephanie Romiszewski who is a Sleep Physiologist at the Sleepyhead Clinic in Exeter. I am both excited and nervous as I begin this journey into the unknown, a little sceptical, as nothing I have tried in the past has made the slightest bit of difference to aid my sleep, not even sleeping tablets and I have believed, for quite some time now, that I am beyond help.

First, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am 44, happily married, with a beautiful 8-year-old son who is my world. I...
