McDonald’s Marsh Barton Restaurant set to reopen

Following significant investment from local franchisee, David Shawyer, McDonald’s in Stone Lane Retail Park on Marsh Barton Road is set to reopen on 3rd February 2022 after a major refurbishment, which has brought exciting new features to the restaurant. Convenience stores in Crediton, Exeter and Exmouth will be selling selected products past their ‘best before' date as it relates to quality, not the safety of the product.

With the aim of keeping more food in the human food chain, Southern Co-op has expanded its Reducing Our Foodprint initiative with products being reduced to just 20p.

Exeter student aims to combat world hunger with ‘nutritionally complete’ and sustainable food bar

An Economics student is juggling his studies with plans to tackle world hunger by developing a ‘nutritionally complete’ food bar, which has already proved a hit with Exeter’s homelessness charities.

James Frost, a third year student at the University of Exeter Business School, was inspired to create the Phoenix Bar after noticing on Facebook that a friend had pledged to eat the same food for a week as Syrian refugees arriving in the UK.
