An exciting family community festival is being held by East Devon District Council in Honiton on Saturday 12 July at Allhallows Field.

Following the success of last year’s event, the fun afternoon, running from 1pm to 4pm, means children can enjoy face-painting, circus skills run by SWITCH, a bouncy castle and many other attractions, all for free!

Among the other attractions on the day will be HitDrumsNotPeople – an African drumming workshop, Sports with Honiton Youth Club and a fingerprinting demonstration by Police.

The Rugby Club Bar will be open all afternoon and there will be music sponsored by Otter Windows. EDDC’s Countryside team will show youngsters how to make decorative items out of natural materials.

Honiton Community Church are providing sandpit play, arts and crafts and refreshments and there will also be an ice cream van on hand to keep everyone cool.

Councillor Christine Drew, EDDC’s Deputy Chairman and Member Champion for Youth, said: “Children and young people are a vital part of every community and are our future, which is why the Council runs these community festival events at various locations throughout the district. The afternoon promises to be full of fun and games and I would urge residents to come along and have some fun”.
