Nigel Mason, a 63-year-old artist from Ilfracombe, Devon, has been gaining international acclaim in the art world with a solo exhibition of his work just finished at MIVA Fine Art gallery in Sweden.

Featuring over 40 oil paintings and 10 charcoal sketches, the exhibition – which ran from 5th – 11th August – saw art collectors flock to the prestigious gallery in Stockholm, which celebrates 30 years in the fine art industry this year. A new survey from electrical retailer AO.com has revealed the TV habits of those living in the South West in 2016.

Asking questions on topics ranging from viewing behaviour, favourite shows and even attitudes towards live entertainment, the survey found evidence suggesting our bond with the small screen was stronger than ever.

Since its launch just a few weeks ago, Pokémon Go has been keeping kids all around the UK occupied over the summer. The new app, which was in development for a number of years, has been met widely with anticipation and excitement from both adults and children. A leading South West mining lawyer has issued a warning to mine owners following an incident where a group of teenagers had to be rescued from a disused mine in Wiltshire after playing Pokemon Go. Mine rescue experts and firefighters had to rescue the four teenagers after they became lost in a network of underground mine tunnels in Box, Wiltshire in July. On 5th September, Exeter’s cultural venues will celebrate a new season of events taking place in the city.
