Critically acclaimed author to discuss her first novel in four years in Exeter

Tickets are on sale to hear award-winning author, director and theatre-maker, Stella Duffy OBE, give an exclusive talk at Exeter Library on her latest novel ‘London Lies Beneath’.

Based on a true story, London Lies Beneath is Duffy’s first novel in four years and at 6pm on Friday 4th November the public are invited to Exeter Library to hear the authors own thoughts on her latest book.

Stella Duffy has written thirteen novels, over fifty short stories and ten plays. London Lies Beneath is Duffy’s 14th novel and tells the story of three families and the tragedy that will change their worlds forever. The book explores the bright and complex world of South London in 1921, uncovering working class families and the hidden histories that go with them.

In 2016 Duffy was awarded an OBE for services to the Arts and has won the Stonewall Writer of the Year for two years running as well as the CWA Short Story Dagger. In addition to her writing work, Stella is a theatre-maker and the co-director of the international Fun Palace campaign for greater access to culture for all.

London Lies Beneath will be available for purchase on October 27th and will also be on sale at the event where fans can get their books signed.
