Devon charities announced as partners for huge weekend of live music

Four Devon-based charities have been selected to be official partners for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham runs for four nights from Thursday June 25 to Sunday June 28, featuring headline shows from vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims, seven-time GRAMMY winner Alanis Morissette and global superstar Lewis Capaldi.

Each night will see a local charity given the opportunity to have a team of fundraisers on site and for 2026 Live At Powderham will support Devon-based charities who make a big impact in the communities they serve....

Exeter shoppers thanked for donations to charity appeal

Princesshay says a big thank you to its shoppers for donating to its British Heart Foundation (BHF) Bag It. Beat It. event helping the charity generate over 1 million bags of donated items.

The centre encouraged shoppers to give bags of unwanted items including clothes, CDs, DVDs and bric-à-brac.

The items now go on to be sold in local BHF shops helping to fund lifesaving heart research and raise awareness of the devastating effects a sudden heart disease diagnosis can have on an entire family.

This Wednesday, the Well House Tavern will be raising money for the Exeter Foundation, hosting a charity evening with Exeter Chiefs rugby superstars Kai Horstmann and Phil Dollman. Devon firm backs Guide Dogs charity

Forthglade, the Devon based natural pet food company have announced Guide Dogs as it’s leading charity for 2016, with the launch of a Name a Puppy campaign commencing in January.

County Show steward set for charity cycle

A Devon County Show steward is preparing to embark on a 200-mile charity cycle ride from the showground in Exeter to London on Monday (December 7), to raise money to develop a new rural hub.

Hospiscare is delighted to announce that the Revd Dame Sarah Mullally, Suffragan Bishop of Crediton has become a Vice President of the local charity.

The charity is launching Dryathlon for the New Year and urging people the region to sign up now before the festive season gets into full swing. Disadvantaged children across the world will receive gifts this Christmas - thanks to the generosity and goodwill of the Exeter community and flexible workplace provider Regus. Charities donate ultrasound scanner to RD&E Vascular Access team

Two Devon based charities have donated a new ultrasound scanner to the Vascular Access team at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital to help them care for patients with cancer.

FORCE Cancer Charity and the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) jointly donated the machine to give the team more flexibility when preparing patients to receive chemotherapy treatment on the hospital’s oncology and haematology wards.
