Bideford-based chartered accountants, Haines Watts North Devon LLP, announce the promotion of 34-year-old Matthew Melksham to partner bringing the firm to a seven-strong partnership. Everys Solicitors cycled between all of its nine Devon and Somerset branches in two days to raise £5,000 for the charity School in a Bag.

The team began its journey at the Bridgwater office in Somerset, finishing in Seaton, Devon, on the first day before heading off to the final finish line in Exeter the following day covering a distance of 95 miles.

Devon County Council’s latest intake of apprentices have been speaking about their experiences so far in the work place.

The Council hires apprentices annually. This year is the biggest intake as 25 apprentices are now working in a range of council services from social care to transport.

The latest group is continuing to work through qualifications in their allocated area as well as becoming an integral part of the team. They are also paid during their apprenticeship.
