Willmott Dixon investing in Devon

Construction company, Willmott Dixon, is expanding its business in the South West peninsular having recently won four major contacts in the area.  Together the investment exceeds £20 million and work will begin straight away. Willmott Dixon have committed that £16 million will be spent in Devon, with Devon based contractors.

Willmott Dixon is inviting companies from across the construction sector to attend a Meet the Contractor event at Sandy Park Conference Centre, Exeter on 4 September. Attendees at the event will learn more about Willmott Dixon, its regional presence and its future work, as well as having the opportunity to meet one to one with the Willmott Dixon management team.

Neal Stephens, managing director for Willmott Dixon in the South West, said: “Working with local contractors is very important to us as a company. For each of our projects we try to establish a local supply chain wherever possible.  We have a commitment to the communities we work in and try to ensure that we work alongside the community as much as possible.

“We are looking forward to expanding the work we do in the South West peninsular and hope to create more opportunities in the future.”

The event is being endorsed by Exeter Chamber of Commerce, who is working with its members and other sub-groups including the Exeter & East Devon Business Portal, the Exeter Chamber Property Initiative Committee, the Marsh Barton Forum and the Manufacturing Association for East Devon and Exeter (MADE) to get word out to local businesses about the opportunity to become one of the Willmott Dixon list of approved suppliers.
