A LEADING care agency in Devon is looking to fill up to 100 care vacancies in the county this month (July 2020).

Guardian Homecare already has more than 200 trained staff across Devon and operates a professional team of highly-skilled, committed individuals providing top quality care to people in their own homes.

Catherine Porter, Manager of Guardian Homecare, which cares for people in the Exeter and Torbay areas, said: “With all the ongoing news regarding job losses, redundancies and businesses closing, we’re thrilled to be able to offer jobs in care with immediate start dates to people living in the community in south Devon. There is an ongoing demand for care in the county and this is why we’re able to create these roles and why we need to fill them ASAP.

“We’re offering those looking for work who are kind, honest, caring and reliable a career for life with free, full training and the opportunity to achieve industry-wide qualifications. Our current team is highly motivated and provides excellent standards of care to our service users. Now we’re looking for new recruits to help make a difference to the lives of those who wish to be cared for at home.”

Guardian Homecare provides support to individuals wishing to remain in their own homes and cared for in a way that meets their health needs and offers a range of home care options.

“We deliver personalised home care supporting people so they can live safely and comfortably in their own homes, which has been and continues to be essential during the current Coronavirus pandemic. Our support is not solely elderly care, we offer home care for adults of various abilities.

“Our team puts people first by helping individuals live independently and providing peace of mind for their families. Our service is also completely personalised and ranges from daily visits to respite and overnight care.”

Guardian Homecare already employs nearly 200 domiciliary carers in south Devon to look after its service users in their own homes and it is currently searching for 100 new kind-hearted individuals to help add to its teams.

Catherine adds: “We are looking for kind, honest, caring and reliable individuals who wish to have a stable and long-term career in care, and who would like to forge rewarding relationships with the service users they care for. No experience is necessary to become a carer, as free, full training is given.

“We offer new recruits a five-day training induction and a 12-week on-boarding programme working towards a care certificate. We also offer flexible working hours, both full and part-time, as well as competitive wages and generous holiday allocation.

“It is a great opportunity for people to achieve a recognised qualification and they’ll also be able to have access to exclusive discounts online and in-store from retailers including Tesco, Primark and Argos.”

New recruits are given free uniforms, access to national staff discount scheme for many major brands, as well as 28 days paid holiday, paid travel between calls and paid mileage.
