Experienced SW agricultural banker joins Fram and Rural Finance team
Rural and Business Specialists Ltd, have appointed an experienced agricultural banker, Peter Reynolds, to help them to deliver mortgage and finance solutions to farm and rural businesses in the South West of England.
Peter Reynolds has joined Rural and Business Specialists Ltd (R&BS) from NatWest. Peter is a well-known figure amongst farmers and rural professionals in Devon and Cornwall, having spent 16 years working as a dedicated NatWest relationship manager for agriculture, rural businesses and renewable energies.
Peter’s banking career amounts to nearly 34 years and during this time he has gained a broad range of skills from branch management to credit analysis and audit, but it was working in the agricultural community that gave him the greatest enjoyment and interest.
Peter said, “I look forward to building on my existing relationships within the local agricultural community and helping farm businesses to grow and achieve their goals.”
“With the uncertainty of Brexit ahead, farms need to be in a strong financial position and be flexible to adapt to any changes. Checking all finance arrangements to see if they offer the most appropriate deal for the farm’s needs, exploring the whole market and not just sticking with their current bank, could help them save money or put farms in a more flexible cash position.”
“As they are independent of any bank or lender, R&BS have a strong reputation for delivering successful lending outcomes. I will build on this track record and help farms in the South West be in a better position to face any challenges ahead by finding them the most suitable funding from a wide range of lenders,” said Peter.
Rob Lister, Director of R&BS said: “Peter’s appointment further strengthens the R&BS team and allows us to develop a stronger presence in the South West. Peter’s agricultural banking knowledge and experience will be of great benefit to farmers in the region as he guides them through the minefield of mortgages, structures business plans and lending applications, and negotiates with multiple lenders on their behalf.”
Peter will be working with farms, estates, rural businesses and professional advisors in Devon
, Cornwall and parts of Dorset and Somerset. He can help clients source funding for any business investments including land purchase, new buildings, and leisure or diversification projects as well as business and finance restructuring.
Peter welcomes contact from old and new clients and professional contacts and can be reached on 07542 036554 or peter@randbs.co.uk
