Residents urged to be vigilant after second Sidbury burglary

Police are being urged to be vigilant following a burglary at a home in Sidbury, Sidmouth, yesterday [Thursday 3 August].

Offenders used gravel stones to break a window and get into the house in the Church Street area between 12.10pm and 12.45pm. Nothing was taken from the property.

The offence follows a previous burglary in nearby Buckley Road which happened sometime between 18 and 21 July. Offenders again got inside the property through a window but nothing was stolen.

Police are asking all Sidbury residents to remain vigilant for individuals and vehicles which look out of place in the village and to call police immediately with the information.

Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the latest offence is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by telephone on 101, quoting crime reference CR/064831/17.
