More than 100 jobseekers attended the Recruit Princesshay jobs fair, helping to match local people to 50 retail and restaurant vacancies on offer, both at Exeter’s Princesshay and elsewhere in the city.

Over 30 of Princesshay’s shops and restaurants, including Superdry, Starbucks, MAC, and Café Rouge, showcased available roles at the event.

Faheem Qureshi, Head of Employment Generation for The Crown Estate said:  “We’re thrilled to have hosted our second successful Recruit event at Princesshay. These sessions offer a fantastic opportunity to support local jobseekers and employers and we are delighted to see so many getting involved, ahead of the busy Christmas season.”

Launched in spring 2016 by The Crown Estate, which owns Princesshay in partnership with TH Real Estate, Recruit Princesshay aims to match local candidates with vacancies within Princesshay and elsewhere in the city.

Recruit is an employment and training initiative created by The Crown Estate, which has placed more than 1,700 people into employment over the last decade. Initially founded in central London, it is now also established at Rushden Lakes in Northamptonshire, Crowngate in Worcester and Fosse in Leicester, as well as at Princesshay in Exeter.
