Man charged following death of Devon teenager

Police in Devon investigating the death of a 15-year-old girl in Newton Abbot on Saturday 15 July have now charged a man with drug offences.

Police were informed by ambulance in the early hours of Saturday morning that they had taken a girl to Torbay District Hospital where she later died.

Jacob Khanlarian, aged 20, from Newton Abbot, has been charged with two counts of supply of a controlled drug of class A (MDMA) and one count of supply a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis).

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Plymouth Magistrates today (Monday 17 July).
