Increased flights set to benefit Exeter and East Devon Enterprise Zone businesses
Exeter Airport’s winter flight schedule brings new opportunities to do business in a sought-after location, where companies already benefit from business rate relief.
Flybe recently added some extra flights on key business routes from Exeter Airport bringing improved national and international connectivity for corporate and leisure trips.
The new schedule starts on the 28th October and includes a number of significant enhancements, with up to 110 flights a week to 17 destinations.
The highlights include:
- Paris: the introduction of a second daily flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle (excluding Saturdays when one flight operates) and greatly improved timings with an early morning departure
- Amsterdam: an increase from seven to 11 flights per week with extra services on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday afternoons
- Manchester: an increase in winter flights from three to four a day on Monday, Tuesday and Friday
Cllr Ian Thomas, Leader of East Devon District Council said: “Having a growing Airport in East Devon which provides connectivity to key European hubs is a significant part of our credentials as a thriving location for business.
“I am delighted with Flybe’s winter schedule as it really adds to these credentials and provides opportunities for onward international travel for both business and leisure trips. Alongside our own investment in improving public transport services we look forward to the Airport and Flybe continuing to flourish.”
Matt Roach, Exeter Airport’s Managing Directory said: “Increased frequency to hub airports has been central to our route development strategy, so we are delighted with progress. We are especially pleased about Paris because we believe there is significant potential on this route provided we can drive demand, and it creates more opportunities for seamless onward international connectivity with Flybe’s partner airline, Air France.”

The added flights, including those to our Manchester hub, will also facilitate more convenient day returns and give enhanced onward connection opportunities to the rest of the world when booked via our codeshare partners or through travel agents.”
