Exeter £E15 becomes history in 2016

The Exeter £E15 note, featuring Jack Nowell of Exeter Chiefs has been popular with collectors and fans in Devon and further afield, with buyers from Italy, France, the USA, Slovenia and Australia.

The note is valid for purchases in participating businesses until December 31st 2015.

"If you have an Exeter Fifteen Pound note tucked away that you were planning to spend it’s time to do it now!" said Gill Westcott, one of the Exeter Pound team.

"You could use it at any of 130 local independent traders. And where else would you find a £15 note?"

Traders accepting the Exeter Pound display an EP sign, or look ate the online directory at http://www.exeterpound.org.uk/directory for the 130 shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants and other businesses that accept the Exeter Pound.

After its life as spending money is over the £E15 pound note will remain a collector’s item for years to come.  Stroud one pound notes are now selling on ebay for £17.99, while a Stroud ten pound note fetched £23 - notes which went out of use in 2012.

Framed, certificated £E15 pound notes are available on the Exeter Pound online shop, as well as early serial number sets of notes.  Denominations available are £E1, £E5, £E10 £E20 as well as the £E15.  For those planning to give notes for Christmas presents, presentation cards are available from the Exeter Visitor Information Centre and Topsham Bookshop.
