Amy Dedman to lead small business team
South West financial experts Old Mill have announced the promotion of Amy Dedman to Head of Small Business, marking a key step in the firm’s long-term investment in leadership and its commitment to supporting small enterprises across the region.
Amy, 31, began her journey at Old Mill straight from college in 2014. Over the past decade, she has worked her way from trainee accountant to Associate Director, gaining extensive experience and completing her AAT, ATT, and ACA qualifications along the way.
Old Mill’s Small Business team delivers tailored support to smaller enterprises — from start-ups to sole traders — offering services such as company formation, tax compliance, bookkeeping, accounts production, and strategic financial planning.
In her new role, Amy will oversee service delivery, team development, and financial performance. She’s especially passionate about making small businesses more financially confident and tax-efficient, helping them grow with confidence.
“I’m really excited for this next chapter,” said Amy. “Supporting small businesses is at the heart of what we do — and I’m proud to be part of such a talented team. I want us to be known as the go-to adviser for small businesses in the South West.”
She also hopes her promotion will inspire others, particularly working mums: “Balancing career and family isn’t always easy, but I want to show other women that it’s possible — especially when you're supported like I’ve been at Old Mill.”
Old Mill CEO Mark Neath added: “Amy’s promotion reflects her dedication, skill, and passion for small business. She’s an inspiring leader and we’re excited to see her guide the team into its next phase of growth.”
