Giant waterslide to hit Exeter this summer!

One of the hottest events to hit the UK is coming to the streets of Exeter this summer.

For one day only, on Sunday 6th September, Exeter Deaf Academy will transform Fore Street hill into a giant water slide for Exeter Street Slide - so you can see the summer out with a splash!

Exeter Street Slide, sponsored by Firewatch, is the first event of its kind to take place in Exeter and it’s sure to make a big splash at the end of the summer!

The event is being run by and in aid of one of Exeter's oldest charities, Exeter Deaf Academy.

Exeter Street Slide was inspired by an urban slide created by UK artist Luke Jerram. This exciting event will be one the whole family can enjoy with sliders both big and small welcome to enter!

With just 330 places available there are a limited number of tickets to slide which will be in high demand so there is a ballot entry system.

The ballot, for a chance to slide, costs just £2 per entry is now open and will close at 5pm on Monday 17th August, so you must enter quickly to be in with a chance to slide!

You can enter the ballot through the Exeter Street Slide website www.ExeterStreetSlide.co.uk or by text – simply text the word SLIDE followed by your full name to 70660. Texts cost £2 plus your standard network charge and do make sure you get the bill payers permission.

Hopeful sliders can enter the ballot as many times as they like to increase their chances of securing a slide place. Ballot entries will be drawn at random using an independent electronic balloting system and all proceeds from the ballot will go to Exeter Deaf Academy, an essential local charity.

Media supporters Express & Echo and Heart are also backing the slide.
