South West based freight forwarding company Isca Forwarding has launched a new specialist division, Isca Fine Art.

Established in 1981, Isca Forwarding has spent the last 35 years shipping consignments around the world. Over the last 10 years the company has seen a significant growth in demand from the Arts and Culture sector and already counts London based gallery Messums amongst its clients, as well as a range of artists from across the region.

Managing Director Jackie Evans, explains why the company decided to launch a dedicated offering to the sector:

‘Having spoken with existing clients within the sector, we knew there was an opportunity to provide a service to artists, galleries and exhibitors that went beyond the typical freight offering.

With many of our artists we spend a lot of our time consulting ahead of shipping their consignments, ensuring they understand the process, answering questions about customs and excise and they’ll often come down to site to see their work being packed and talk with the team.

With our gallery and exhibition clients the focus is often on ensuring that the work is not only packed carefully and securely but also marked in a such a way that means unpacking and repacking is as easy as possible in a time pressured environment.

Most of our team have been with us for years and over that time have built up an in-depth understanding of the sector and we’re pleased to be able to use our expertise to offer a specialist service.’
