A taste of something local at Knightshayes

Get your Christmas shopping off to a flying start at Knightshayes’ annual Christmas Craft and Food Fair on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November, 10am-4pm.

For the first time this year, a number of local food producers are displaying their delicious goodies, alongside a brilliant selection of hand-made crafts at the Victorian Gothic National Trust house near Tiverton.  Elaine Vergette from Knightshayes, who is helping to organise the Fair, said:

"We’ve run a successful Christmas Craft Fair here at Knightshayes for a few years now, but this year we’ve decided to focus on local, hand-made, artisan crafts only, with some very tasty food products thrown in for good measure.

"We are really pleased to have amongst our stallholders Tilly Young and her wonderful pottery, Martha & Hepsie’s quirky and unique paper products and Flora’s Attic’s cake stands, made from recycled vintage china. Alongside that, Comfort Cakes, Bake Eat Love and Mrs Mopp’s Chutneys and Preserves will be here too, selling their mouth-watering treats for Christmas."

There are various other events taking place at Knightshayes over the Christmas period, including visits from Father Christmas and celebrated carol concerts in the Great Hall. During November and December you can ‘look around for a pound’ as the admission price to the house and garden is only £1 for non-members – the perfect excuse for those who haven’t been before, to explore everything Knightshayes has to offer.

Knightshayes is open from 11am until 4pm, Wednesday to Sunday during November and December. For more information or to book any of our Christmas events, please call the property office on 01884 254665.
