The award-winning Dawlish Air Show attracts over 80,000 people each year, all keen to bask in the glory of the coastline and enjoy the spectacular displays.

The event kicks off with a family fun day on Friday (22 August) which will be officially opened by the Mayor of Dawlish, Cllr John Petherick at 11am.

Centred around The Lawn at the heart of Dawlish, attractions include Savage Skills, BMX stunt bike display; bouncy castle, falconry, music, funfair, aircraft simulator, craft activities, stalls, food, drink and lots more.

A Pilots’ Party will take place from 6pm to 11pm where you’ll be able to meet the pilots flying in the air show. There'll be music, Showgirl Burlesque Cherry Ve'Dore, an auction, raffle and bar.

The air show takes place on Saturday, with the flying display scheduled to commence at noon.

The Red Arrows will fly at 2pm and the show will close Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster at 5pm.

Amongst the aircraft taking to the skies will also be a Short Tucano, two Avro Lancasters and a display from the Royal Navy Raiders. A Westland Sea King will also be on show from the Royal Navy.

Live music on Saturday comes from Blame Andy, Seven Cities and One Foot in the Groove.

The air show is free to attend, but the organisers rely on donations to keep the air show running year after year.

The Dawlish Air Show souvenir programme is available to download ahead of the weekend here.
