The South West Childcare & Education Show

Visitor registration is now open at www.childcareshow.co.uk for this new event. It will be a unique forum for educators and child carers in the southwest to discover more about the hot topics and issues in early years education and childcare.

The South West Childcare & Education Show is an essential two-day free exhibition for teachers, head teachers, senior leaders, child minders, nursery owners/managers, childcare workers and parents, in fact anyone involved in early years education and childcare. It will be the perfect forum to meet experts and peers from the region, with an opportunity to:

• Hear more about national policy changes and pre-school funding
• Join free interactive workshops
• Attend free seminars on a range of key EYFS topics.
• See 100s of specialist early years educational products and services

Free Seminars: A daily programme of free seminars open to all visitors, has been designed to cover key issues and topics in the early years sector. Experts from the Pre-School Learning Alliance, National Day Nursery Association, Springboard and Babcock LDP will  cover a wide range of topics including Risky Play, Healthy Eating in Early Years, Raising Outcomes in Maths, Phonics, and Meaningful Parental Engagement. The charity Contact A Family will be hosting a special forum on Disabilities & Additional Needs.

Interactive Workshops: Two dedicated interactive workshop areas will explore ideas and suggestions for ‘Active Learning’ and Playing & Exploring’. The early years team from Babcock LDP will demonstrate ways for practitioners to enhance opportunities for maximum engagement with learning.

Conference: Alongside the free exhibition, Babcock LPD will be running a one-day conference on Friday 7th November. Entitled Detoxing Childhood and presented by Sue Palmer, renowned author and presenter on early years child development. Delegates can book at www.babcock-education.co.uk/ldp/cpd

Exhibition: A wide range of 100 of products dedicated to the early years education sector will be on display.  Exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss products such as day nursery equipment, furnishings, hygiene supplies, music, mats, visual aids as well as toys, indoor and outdoor play equipment, puzzles and safety products. As well as services such as administration software to tax consultancy, financial services and training.
