Gourmet Dining in the Dark Evening

At 6.30pm on Thursday 1 May, the Salutation Inn in Topsham, which offers the very best local, regional and seasonal produce cooked by Tom Williams-Hawkes and his brigade to a modern French influenced style, will be hosting a unique gourmet dining event in association with WESC Foundation.

Dining in the Dark - the first of its kind in the South West - will not only raise funds for the vital work being undertaken by WESC Foundation, a specialist centre for visual impairment, but will also give diners a real sense of what it is like to be visually impaired, if only for one evening.

The meal will include Champagne and canapés on arrival, three specially designed courses cooked by the Salutation's talented head chef Tom Williams-Hawkes (served in complete darkness) with wines to match included. This will be followed by coffee (with the lights on!) and petit fours afterwards. You will be guided by Salutation Inn staff plus some learners from WESC Foundation.

Due to the nature of the event, it is vitally important that diners specify any food allergies or dietary requirements on booking - which will be double checked on arrival. Each dish can be adapted for vegetarians.

The cost of this exclusive event will be £50 per person, with profits going to WESC Foundation.

Cheques should be sent prior to the event to:

Fundraising Dept.
WESC Foundation,
Topsham Road,
Countess Wear,
Exeter,
EX2 6HA

Guests can also pay over the phone by debit or credit card by phoning 01392 454334.

In order for the evening to go smoothly, guests are asked to arrive promptly at 6:30pm so they can be seated for the first course by 7pm.

Please RSVP to Natalie Vizard at natalie@attention-media.co.uk or call 07843 282371 if you are interested in attending or would like any further information.
