Exeter mum's search for lifesaving donor

A mum-of-three from Exeter is urgently searching for a stem cell donor to help cure her leukaemia. Kate Barnett was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in October 2015.

Following a round of chemotherapy, doctors discovered she also has myelodysplasia, which prevents her bone marrow responding properly to treatment. A377 Crediton High Street reopens

The A377 (Crediton High Street) has reopened to traffic nine days ahead of schedule.

The road has been closed since Monday 25 January to enable South West Water to carry out a £320,000 scheme to improve Crediton’s sewer network. It was due to reopen on Sunday 21 February but opened at 12.15pm today.

Teignbridge District Council has today announced the successful completion of the largest investment in its history following the £13 million acquisition of Newton Abbot’s Market Walk shopping centre.

Purchased to enhance the centre of the town and to provide a regular and reliable source of income for the Council, the acquisition of the 91,000 square foot site gives Teignbridge the ability to positively influence the future development of Newton Abbot’s central shopping district.

The Flying Horse in Wonford, Exeter has been sold to new owner Phil Daysh, who runs the popular Sorry Head venue in Blackboy Road, ner Exeter city centre.

The substantial three storey detached property within a site of approximately 0.4 acres was on the market with JLL at a guide of £295,000.

Devon and Cornwall Police has been rated ‘Good’ in a new report by Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary looking at the legitimacy of the Force.
