Exeter firm wins quality award

City solicitors Rundlewalker have successfully retained the Law Society’s legal practice quality mark, Lexcel, a much sought after accreditation scheme for law firms in England and Wales.

The award involves a rigorous application and assessment process scrutinising not just professional expertise but file management, quality of systems, client care and treatment of staff.

Baxter delighted to welcome Turner on board

Exeter head coach Rob Baxter has today spoken of his delight at bolstering his Chiefs squad with the signing of Australian international Lachlan Turner.

The 28-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Aviva Premiership club and arrives at Sandy Park having previously played for Aussie Super Rugby sides NSW Waratahs and Queensland Reds, as well as French Top 14 giants RC Toulon.

HeartSWell South West is looking for people to take to the sky and jump 10,000ft from a plane to raise money for heart patients and lifesaving equipment in the Westcountry. A spectacular dancing dragon, a stunning firework display and traditional Chinese crafts, food and games all featured at the University of Exeter’s celebration of Chinese New Year.

Gene could help identify psychosis risk in cannabis users

Researchers at the University of Exeter and UCL (University College London) have identified a gene which can be used to predict how susceptible a young person is to the mind-altering effects of smoking cannabis. The finding could help identify otherwise healthy users who are most at risk of developing psychosis.

Exeter Chiefs newcomer Lachlan Turner says he's more than happy to be thrown in at the deep end after he today sealed a move to the Aviva Premiership club.

The Australian international touched down at Sandy Park this morning to begin a two-and-a-half year deal with Rob Baxter's high-flying outfit.
