Staff working for The Midas Group, one of the largest independent construction companies in the South West, have donated 833 volunteer hours to help support good causes across the South of England and Wales.

The company’s annual Community Engagement Week initiative, saw hundreds of staff volunteer to work on projects in the South West, South East and Wales, carrying out a variety of work from undertaking building makeovers to harvesting apples.

Exeter’s Queen St. Dining will introduce a taste of Scandinavia to the region when KuPP opens its doors on 29th October.

Inspired by cuisine from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, KuPP is the seventh restaurant to launch in the city’s new £12m dining destination. It will join Turtle Bay, Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK), The Stable, Absurd Bird, The Terrace and Comptoir Libanais.

Exeter is Kupp’s first branch outside of London and will open opposite Absurd Bird at Queen St. Dining.

A special gathering of former Exeter City players will take place at the home match with Cambridge United this Saturday (22 October).

The event is being held thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund backed project on the history of St James Park. The project is being led by the University of Exeter in partnership with the Exeter City History Group set up by the Supporters Trust.

Around 50 former players are expected to attend and will be sharing their memories with the project team as well as being presented to the crowd at half-time.
