It was a record-breaking afternoon at Exeter City as they made seven wins a row, with a 4-0 win over Crewe Alexandra, to stay fourth in the League Two table.

City’s previous longest winning streak in a season had been six in a row, set in 1904/05 season and repeated in 1932/33 and 1976/77.

Devon firm raises over £20,000 for Cancer Research UK

A TIVERTON company has raised more than £20,000 in a bid to help beat cancer sooner.

Linear motion experts, HepcoMotion, have been supporting Cancer Research UK since 2013, raising funds for the charity from their European and UK exhibitions.

Hepco attends approximately 15 exhibitions each year, and donates €5 for every business card it receives at a show.

Leading local advice charity, Citizens Advice Exeter, has released its latest advice trend figures.

These show a 10% increase in enquiries from clients about welfare benefits and tax credits, compared to the same period in 2015.

Citizens Advice Exeter has helped 5,972 people with advice and information across all enquiry areas since 1 April 2016.

Busy year ahead for Exeter networking group

SUPPORT and training organisation, Exeter PA Network, which has seen its membership increase by 25 per cent in the last year, has launched its programme of activities for the coming 12 months.

A heady dose of elation and a real sense of camaraderie and achievement floats through the Event Exeter office this morning as the team have done it again.
