Burrington Estates staff raise cash for Cancer Research

Burrington Estates, a developer of commercial and residential schemes in the South West, organised a fundraising event on on Friday for World Cancer Day, which fell on Saturday 4th February.

The event was in aid of Cancer Research UK, a charity that means a lot to employees of the company.

On Friday 3rd February, all Burrington Estates employees dressed in pink for the occasion and organised a Fundraising Raffle. They had a donation box from Cancer Research UK, in their reception at their head office, Dean Clarke House located in Southernhay and encouraged all employees and visitors to donate. Alongside this, they created a JustGiving account for the event, encouraging people to buy raffle tickets and donate online, which was ran for a week.

The raffle was full of incredible prizes, donated by Burrington Estates and its fantastic suppliers, local companies and friends. Just a few of the incredible prizes included a Helicopter Ride, a Weekend Stay in Chelsea London, a Spa Day for Two at Sidmouth Harbour Hotel, a Champagne Afternoon Tea at Hotel du Vin and £100 worth of White Company Vouchers.

On Thursday 9th February, the Raffle was closed and the winners were announced. The company raised a fantastic £1,500 in one week for the charity, Cancer Research UK, in offline and online donations. They are delighted by the events success, and would like to thank all who contributed raffle prizes and donated to such a great cause.
